    Nuance is everything in China. It's important to get as much training as you can regarding the cultural differences that affect negotiation. It's also important to realise that general advice is general, and to take into account the specific context of the person you're negotiating with: their age, their exposure to other cultures, their personality. You also need to consider group dynamics. The real decision maker may be the last person you meet.
